New 90,000gns record set in Stirling

by Jonathan Long:

Stirling must have a buzz in the air now as a new breed record has just been set by Dan Tynan, Ardlea flock, Co Laois, who has just sold a lamb by Cairness Liam out of a ewe by Cairness Goldust for 90,000gns, with the buyer being Myfyr Evans for his Rhaeadr flock. A full brother to this lamb will be offered for sale in Roscrea. Underbidder here was believed to be Jimmy Douglas.2972011 Suffolk Stirling Lot 187.JPG

Also in the Ardlea pen was one by Pexhill Real Lucky out of a daughter of Cairness Cold Play, this one went at 7000gns.2972011 Suffolk Stirling Lot 190.JPG

Just prior to that, Myfyr’s run topped at 14,000gns for a son of Baileys BMW out of a Thurston Calzaghe ewe who was breed champion at the RWAS and second prize gimmer at RHAS in 2009.
